The Blessings of the Bambinelli 2022
December 18th at 10:00 AM Mass
December 18th – 10:00am Mass Join us next Sunday December 18 at the 10:00am Mass for the blessing of the Bambinelli!
Pope John Paul II began the tradition of Bambinelli Sunday during his papacy to remind families about the joyous event of Baby Jesus’ arrival in the manger. Bambinelli Sunday is celebrated on the third Sunday of Advent. On that day children gather with their families in St. Peter’s Square and bring figures of the Christ Child from their family’s Nativity scene.
All parishioners – especially children – are encouraged to bring the Bambinelli – the baby Jesus from their Nativity sets – to the 10:00am Mass for a special blessing by our priests. This Advent tradition is a way for families to connect their Nativity at home to the celebration of Christmas at St. Francis.

St Francis has shaken off the mood of summer – the lazy crazy days of summer – and has launched out into the deep! Religious Ed, Coffee house and PB&J Gang have burst into life.
May You Be Blessed in the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer
The weather was wonderful, as were the people and pets who gathered for the Blessing of the Animals in honor of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi.
