May You Be Blessed in the Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer
The weather was wonderful, as were the people and pets who gathered for the Blessing of the Animals in honor of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi. On that beautiful Sunday October 1, we blessed many dogs, and even some fish. A noteworthy pet was a (stuffed toy) giraffe, who was blessed as well – take a look at our guests in these photos! It is always such a joy when our parish community comes together to celebrate.
First Holy Communion at St. Francis
First Holy Communion was celebrated with great love on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at St. Francis! We had two Masses for our Grade 2 Religious Education students who received Our Lord for the first time surrounded by their loving families, friends, and catechists.
