Meet St. Francis’ New Music Director
If you’re wondering where the beautiful new music has been coming from at our Masses lately, we’ve got your answer! We are pleased to introduce Mr. Peter Schubart as our new Music Director.
Peter will be with us until at least August and we are happy to have his talent (as well as his family’s) gracing our Masses each week.
Peter brings with him 31 years of experience as a Music Director at a Long Island parish. As you can hear, he is an accomplished pianist and organist as well as a choral conductor of adult and youth choirs. We are looking forward to welcoming back our choirs as soon as it is safe, under the new leadership of Mr. Schubart! We will let you know as soon as practices start up again!
Mr. Schubart earned a Bacholors of Music and holds a Master of Music from The Juilliard School. He and his wife, Mary, are practicing and active Catholics. They have six children and two of them are now pursuing music at the college level. His family often accompanies Peter at the 12:00 Mass and you can hear what an accomplished group of musicians they all are and how wonderfully harmonious they all play together. We are looking forward to the glorious sounds of praise emanating from St. Francis at the hands of the very gifted Peter Schubart. Stop by and say hello after Mass!
