St. Vincent de Paul Society Food Drive Receives Knights of Columbus Donation

Nov 19, 2023 | Social, St. Vincent de Paul

Mike Mordarski of the Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council presents a donation of $600.00 to Joe Masseli of the St. Vincent de Paul Society towards the Thanksgiving food drive, for the purchase of turkeys and other provisions for the holiday tables of local families. The donation is on behalf of the Knights Council. The St. Vincent de Paul Society will be delivering food generously collected from the parish this month.

The Knights have a number of projects coming up; look for information coming soon on the annual “Keep Christ in Christmas” poster contest for students that will be due in mid-December. The Council will also be collecting gently used and donated children’s outfits for First Holy Communion, from the end of the year through the spring to support families with students in need of dresses and suits.

For information on joining either of these generous organizations, please contact Peter Dowd for the Knights of Columbus at 631-235-8493 (peterdowd1213@yahoo.com) or Phyllis Pottinger for the St. Vincent de Paul Society at 631-651-2655 (aphenomenal@optonline.net).
