St. Vincent de Paul – October 2023
St Vincent DePaul Society is a Catholic lay organization that leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
*Checks made payable to Society of St. Vincent de Paul and dropped in the collection baskets will help us serve our neighbors in need throughout the Greenlawn area.
October 22nd: Twenty-Ninth in Ordinary Time
In the Gospel today Jesus says: “Repay to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God.” When God is the center of our lives there is no problem with giving others their due.
Through your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul you are helping your neighbor who is hungry, hopeless and frightened to know that they belong to God.
October 15th: Twenty-Eighth in Ordinary Time
“Many are invited, but few are chosen.”
To give thanks for all that God has given to you, have you considered answering the call to help serve the poor by joining the Society of St. Vincent de Paul?
October 8th: Twenty-Seventh in Ordinary Time
The good news of this Gospel is that all we need to do is let God tend us and bring us to produce good fruit. All we need do is be faithful; God will take care of the rest.
Please help the Society of St. Vincent de Paul to bring the love and mercy of Jesus to those who feel left out and abandoned.

The Gospel today is a great example of saying, “actions speak louder than words.”

First Holy Communion at St. Francis
First Holy Communion was celebrated with great love on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at St. Francis! We had two Masses for our Grade 2 Religious Education students who received Our Lord for the first time surrounded by their loving families, friends, and catechists.
