St. Vincent de Paul – June 2023

Jun 11, 2023 | Social, St. Vincent de Paul

St Vincent DePaul Society is a Catholic lay organization that leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.

June 25th: Twelfth Sunday In Ordinary Time

In the Gospel today, we hear Jesus say: “Everyone who acknowledges me before others I will acknowledge before my heavenly Father.”

June 18th: Eleventh Sunday In Ordinary Time

In the Gospel today we hear Jesus say to his disciples, “The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send laborers for his harvest.”

June 11th: The Solemnity of Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ

Today as we celebrate the gift of the Body and Blood of Christ let us pray for those who are hungry, malnourished and starving. Is there a family you know who needs assistance? Please call the Society of St.Vincent de Paul so that together we can help those who are hungry.

June 4th: The Solemnity of Most Holy Trinity

As we celebrate the mystery of the Trinity we also realize the mystery of how much God loves and cares for us each day. Believing in this our lives can then overflow in thanksgiving and praise.

Your gift in the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box will help the poor to believe in the mystery of God’s love for them.

*Checks made payable to Society of St. Vincent DePaul and dropped in the collection baskets will help us serve our neighbors in need throughout the Greenlawn area.
