December 31st: Feast of Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joesph

Today is the feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. During our New Year may our families “grow in wisdom and have the favor of God upon them.”

This month, through your gifts, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul was able to bring Christmas to the hearts of the poor, by assisting families be providing them with food, uilities and rent bills as gifts. Thank you!

December 24th: Fourth Sunday of Advent

Jesus: excited, awed, frightened. Deep faith was her light in the darkness, for Jesus was born during the night of the year when darkness is the longest.

Your gift to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul brought light into the darkness surrounding the heart of those living in poverty bringing them the real, lasting, and deep joy of Christmas.

December 17th: Third Sunday of Advent

In today’s Gospel John the Baptist says, “I am the voice of one crying in the desert; make straight the way of the Lord.” Let us ask for the grace to help others to know the love of the Lord.

Christmas is a time of love and gift giving… please give to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that those who do not have clothes and food can share in the blessings of Christmas.

December 10th: Second Sunday of Advent

In today’s Gospel John the Baptist urges us to “Prepare the way of the Lord.”. We are called to help prepare the way of the Lord by making the real meaning of Christmas come alive in our own hearts, in our family and to reach out to those in need.

Is there a family you know who needs assistance? Please call the Society of St. Vincent de Paul so that together we can help the suffering and poor to celebrate Christmas.

December 3rd: First Sunday of Advent

As we begin Advent we are called to “Be watchful! Be alert” as we stand in joyful anticipation for the grace of Christmas to once again bless our lives. Your gift in the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box will help the poor to celebrate the grace of God’s love this Christmas.
