January is a Special Month to Come Together in Support of Life
On this anniversary of the Supreme Court decision, Roe vs. Wade (1973), normally observed on 22 January, all dioceses of the United States shall observe a “day of prayer for the full restoration of the legal guarantee of the right to life and of penance for violations to the dignity of the human person committed through acts of abortion” (General Instruction of the Roman Missal #373).
The Mass “For Giving Thanks to God for the Gift of Human Life” will be celebrated in place of the regular weekday mass at 8:30 am on January 23, 2023.
