Easter Blessings from St. Vincent DePaul
An Easter message from Phil Dedora, president of the St. Francis of Assisi chapter of The Society of St. Vincent dePaul regarding their new Easter Gift Card Distribution.
You know I just didn’t want to say “Thank you” for the money we received to provide gift cards to the needy of our Parish. To me the “Thank You’s” and wishing people well is more pleasing than the work of giving. If that’s a sin, I’m guilty!
This Parish of St. Francis of Assisi, has had such an incredible response to our request for help last year, that we all decided to create a new Easter program of giving Food Gift Cards to make sure our poorest parishioners can buy what they need. And they did come, and didn’t even have to leave their car! We were all outside with checklists, wishing people a Happy Easter.
We at St. Vincent De Paul are very grateful to our parishioners for that response, so that we can provide blessings to our neighbors-in-need.
Become the hands and feet of Jesus and join us!! We do have a need for 2 or 3 more volunteers here at St Vincent De Paul. Please call and ask us how you can help. (631) 651-2655.
Happy Easter Season!
Hearing the cry of the poor, responding to their needs and advocating for their rights…
Inspired by Gospel values, the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, a Catholic lay organization, leads women and men to join together to grow spiritually by offering person-to-person service to the needy and suffering in the tradition of its founder, Blessed Frederic Ozanam, and patron, St. Vincent de Paul.
