A Message from Father Peter

– September 24th A Beautiful Day for a Wonderful Picnic

Glorious skies, magnificent weather, unbeatable smiles on children’s faces, music to soothe the soul, all essential ingredients of a blessed church occasion! In our case the annual picnic! I want to point out that our group was without question enthusiastic from the start and remained so until the end! The picnic format is just right for us; a lengthy several days carnival would not work here – we know our limits!

Next week I will thank by name all our volunteers and sponsors who made this possible. Also, we will give more details on the amount gained by the parish. However, we can safely state that it was a much need boost to our budget! Striving to do God’s Work, but it has been great to have had fun at the same time!

– September 17th The Parish Picnic is Here

The long-awaited event is here! Our unique home spun celebration and Picnic! I hope to see you there. The visible emphasis is on fun and fellowship, but the hope is to raise a sum equivalent to another Sunday collection!

Now that’s a goal worth working for! “Meet you in St Louis, Louis, meet you at the Fair!” Meet you on the Church grounds, Dear Friend: meet you in our own backyard!”

A Message from Father Peter

– September 10th The New Year Begins!

The “New Year” begins about now for many of us! Schools open, fiscal year’s results are tallied, new projects begin. Your parish is no exception.

Right now, our Parish Center – Lower Church – is getting its annual floor treatment. A new spirit is taking hold all around.

Our Eucharistic Revival is on track, the pilgrimage is a go! And last but not least, our Parish Picnic is set to be the best ever. As the old saying goes, “See you in Church!”

You will actually be touched by the Lord’s love.

A Message from Father Peter

– September 3rd The One or More Needed

It’s that time of the year and our faith formation (Grades 1-8) is about to begin. Anita Modelewski and her valiant staff of one – Ellen Levanti – are hard at work organizing class rosters, registrations for late comers, and the program calendar.

A small number of additional volunteer teachers are needed! This is a noble calling! So many parents find it impossible to instruct their own children. How much of a gift to the church it is when a qualified adult offers to teach the children of others. Please Pray and Reflect as God answers you to step forward this year!

On a mundane note, we have sold about 210 tickets for our booster club. Last year we sold 300! Have you purchased it this time around?
