At the Easter Vigil Mass on Holy Saturday 2024, Fr. Peter received into the full communion of the Catholic Church Ms. Paula Schirripa who was baptized in the Episcopal church. Ms. Schirripa made her profession of faith and was welcomed by Fr. Peter and the entire assembly. Fr. Peter then laid on hands, anointed her with Sacred Chrism, administering the Sacrament of Confirmation. Ms. Schirripa took the confirmation name of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton, an Episcopal woman who converted to Catholicism in 1805. Later during the Vigil Mass Ms. Schirripa received her first Holy Eucharist under both species, administered by Fr. Francois and Deacon Jim. Ms. Schirripa’s sponsor was Ms. Holly Brink who assisted the RCIA team of Deacon Jim and Ms. Kathleen Dyckes in Ms. Schirripa’s faith journey to Catholicism.

RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a process designed to enable a person to become a full participating member of the Catholic Church. If you or someone you know is interested in the RCIA program, please contact Deacon Jim Byrne at 631-757-3389, or via email at 1cor12v4to11@gmail.com
