The Blessings of the Bambinelli 2022
December 18th at 10:00 AM Mass
December 18th – 10:00am Mass Join us next Sunday December 18 at the 10:00am Mass for the blessing of the Bambinelli!
Pope John Paul II began the tradition of Bambinelli Sunday during his papacy to remind families about the joyous event of Baby Jesus’ arrival in the manger. Bambinelli Sunday is celebrated on the third Sunday of Advent. On that day children gather with their families in St. Peter’s Square and bring figures of the Christ Child from their family’s Nativity scene.
All parishioners – especially children – are encouraged to bring the Bambinelli – the baby Jesus from their Nativity sets – to the 10:00am Mass for a special blessing by our priests. This Advent tradition is a way for families to connect their Nativity at home to the celebration of Christmas at St. Francis.
Sunday, September 17 is our Parish Picnic!
We’re having our “Fall Out of Summer” parish picnic on Sunday, September 17, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm,
and everyone is invited!
2023 Catholic Ministries Appeal
Each year Americans celebrate Labor Day as a national holiday to honor working people. For Catholics, it is also an opportunity to recall the traditional teaching of the Church on dignity of work and the rights of workers.
