Liturgical Minister Training for Lectors
Because readers provide a bridge between the Word a/God and the assembly, helping Christ speak to his people, they need to understand, believe, and love the Word of God they proclaim.
The Office of Worship will be offering LECTOR TRAINING for those who wish to proclaim the Word of God at their parishes. All men, women and young adults who wish to become a lector at their parish should attend a diocesan training session.
Even ‘seasoned’ lectors are invited to participate and refresh their skills and meet others who participate in this valuable ministry.
TRAINING FOR LECTORS: PLEASE USE THE TEAR-OFF BELOW TO REGISTER.

Saturday, September 25: 9 AM-12 noon

In Suffolk:
Saturday, October 30: 9-12 Noon
St. Rosalie, Hampton Bays
EVENING SESSION for LECTOR TRAINING:
Wednesday, September 29: 7-10 pm
St. Christopher, Baldwin
Thursday, September 30: 7-10 pm
St. Elizabeth of Hungary/ Melville
WORKSHOP FEE:

Knights of Columbus Spring Membership Drive
The Greenlawn chapter of the Knights of Columbus has a lot happening this spring. Established in 1959, the St. Joseph Council #4810 serves our parish, Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Church in Centerport, and our local area. Our 6th and 7th graders in Religious Education participated in the Lenten Baby Supply Drive to earn service hours.
