Donations for Michael Grogan Ministries in Kensington

To everyone who donated, Thank you! Your response to the food, supply and bedding drive for Kensington’s needy was overwhelmingly generous and heartwarming. The loving donations you made of rice, beans, boxes of cereal, plastic utensils, cleaning supplies, sheets, pillow cases and pillows were packed into 116.1 cubic feet of cargo space in a mid-sized SUV and driven to Michael Grogan Ministries’ (“MGM”) facility. Our gratitude extends to Ellen Levanti, who was instrumental in organizing this drive, and to Andrea Waldron and Mary Prochilo, lay Carmelites. They volunteered their time and vehicle on Juneteenth to pack and then, on the following morning, to transport all the items to Kensington. Thank you also to Marcin Glinski from Starfish Cafe for his inspiration. It’s amazing to see the tangible results of the loving work of many hands and hearts working together in community to perform corporal works of mercy. May we all be encouraged by Our Lord’s love reflected in this work. May Our Lord richly bless you for your generosity!
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,” – Matt 25:35.
