Catholic Cross Outreach!
Next weekend February 17-18, we are blessed to be hosting Fr. Augustine Temu representing Cross Catholic Outreach. This official Catholic ministry was founded to link parishes in the U.S. with priests, religious brothers and sisters, and laypeople working in Church missions overseas. Its programs span the Caribbean, Africa, Asia, and Central and South America.
Fr. Temu joins us from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Tanga, Tanzania. His ministry there focuses on the rural parishes where the majority of the people are terribly poor. He is in the U.S. working on his Masters in Pastoral Ministry at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Our young people were really eating it up! I am referring to Fr. Liam McDonald‘s presentation last week to our women’s group of the Starfish Coffee House, with his topic “Our Gifts of the Holy Spirit”; how each person can discover the gifts – or tools – God has given us to use in our own way to build up his kingdom.

The Sacrament of Confirmation was celebrated joyfully at St. Francis on Saturday April 13. Bishop Luis Romero officiated and was joined by Fr. Peter and Deacon Allan.
