Al Barbarino Appearing at St. Francis of Assisi for Corpus Christi
Al will be accompanying the parish for the Corpus Christi procession immediately after the 12 Noon Mass.
Al Barbarino is a Lay Franciscan with the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal (the late Fr. Benedict Groeschel’s Community), and is a member of the Knights of Columbus. Throughout the years in this apostolate, he has recorded CDs/videos, and traveled around the world.
He speaks on our faith in a most practical, everyday level. Through all the support of his recordings, he helps the Franciscans at their homeless shelters, Croatian Relief International Outreach, and for the poor, wherever he sings. Al has worked in the New York City prisons for incarcerated youth as a counselor. He has many stories to share! Al’s recordings will be available after Mass.
Box City at St Francis
Our Youth Ministry held a Box City overnight event at St. Francis in early June. Participants were able to experience first hand some of what it feels like to be homeless.
