We Have a Winner…or Three!

Jan 22, 2023 | Community, Religious Education

Each year, The Knights of Columbus sponsor a Poster Contest for children in grades K – 8. The theme of the contest is “Keep Christ in Christmas.” Entrants must create an original drawing that reflects this holy theme.

Peter Dowd is Grand Knight of our local Greenlawn Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph’s Council 4810, and a teacher for 6th grade in our Religious Education program. We are proud to announce the following
winners for St. Francis:

Audrey Cleary – winner of the grades 6-8 division

Ashlyn Johnson – winner of the grades 3-5 division

Logan Johnson – winner of the grades K-2 division

Each winner received a $50 gift card. We are so proud of all our entrants! Each child who entered a poster received a beautiful certificate from the Knights. The posters are on display in the lower church until mid-February for everyone to see. You can also view them on our parish website.

Thank you to the Knights for sponsoring the contest, and for the wonderful work they do
in our parish community.
