The True Meaning of Easter
Remember when we were kids, we celebrate by having Easter eggs hunts, dying Easter eggs, coloring Easter egg pictures and having a big family meals of ham, sweet potatoes and stuff! And, please don’t forget about the Easter Bunny Chocolate!
As we get older, we forget the true meaning of this holiday – which is when Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and we proclaim that by saying Alleluia a lot of times!
Easter is also a time of reflection! A time to ask Him to renew our hope, not despair; faith, not injustice, togetherness, not isolation; and, most of all, His love, not hatred!
My friends, we’ve been through a lot this year, but we’ve made it through with the help of God! All things are possible with Him and we must remember that!
Love,
Joey Dorr

To the Faithful of the Diocese of Rockville Centre – Easter Sunday 2020
None of us could have imagined even weeks ago, that we would celebrate Holy Week and Easter Sunday virtually.
Diocese of Rockville Centre March 29th 2020 Message
As we carry the cross together, facing the devastating effects of COVID–19, please join me in thanking and praying for our first responders, dedicated doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at Catholic Health Services and all of our wonderful hospitals across Long Island.
