The Ascension of the Lord
We commemorate Jesus Christ’s ascension into heaven by celebrating Ascension Day, which occurs on the Thursday 40 days after Easter, this year, May 18. It is a major feast day in the liturgical calendar, and a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church.
SCHEDULE FOR ASCENSION DAY:
Wednesday, May 17: Vigil Mass at 7:30pm
Thursday, May 18: Masses at 8:30am and 4:30pm
Eucharistic Revival has begun at St. Francis! On Ascension Thursday, May 18 after the 4:30 Mass, Benediction will be offered with Adoration until 8:00pm. Along with Adoration 9:00am-5:00pm Mondays and Fridays, Thursdays are now added from 5:00pm-8:00pm.
As Fr. Peter has announced, a diocesan wide Eucharistic Congress is scheduled for October 20-22 in Auriesville, NY. Many parishioners are planning to go.
Join us as we celebrate that Jesus, our Risen Lord is with us! Call to pledge an hour of love with our Savior as plans to expand the schedule are in progress; (631) 486-2155.

The Windows of our Church – The Marriage of Cana
