St. Vincent de Paul Society Wiffleball Tournament

Jul 17, 2022 | Community

St. Vincent De Paul teamed up with the Greenlawn Civic Association to hold the 5th Annual Wiffleball Tournament at Harborfields High School, on Saturday, June 18. It was a great day, although the wind made it a bit difficult to throw a strike, resulting in much higher scoring games. Thankfully, we had more teams this year than ever before. The winning team “Big Poppi” won the Tournament so Dillon Wagner, Shane Wagner, Ande Wagner, Kevin Zabransky, and Lucas “Sit & Rip” Woodhouse will have their names displayed on a plaque in Broadway Pizza of Greenlawn.

The Tournament raised just over $12,000, which will be used to address the immediate and long term needs of those in need. The GCA started a scholarship fund and three Student Scholarship winners from Harborfields High School received their scholarship awards at the GCA meeting a few days after the event. Many thanks to all those participated and helped to make it all happen.
