Serenity Cinema Presents: Sound Of Freedom (An Angel Studios Production)

Featuring Jim Caviezel

(from the Passion of The Christ) playing Special Agent Tim Ballard from Homeland Security. Caviezel plays “real life” Tim Ballard, a former U.S. government agent and the founder of Operation Underground Railroad (O.U.R., a non-profit combatting trafficking and rescuing children). It is produced by Eduardo Verástegui (Angel Studios), who also plays a role in the film. Based on the gripping true story of a man’s mission to rescue children from the darkest corners of the world, this action-packed drama shines a light on the harrowing reality of sex trafficking and the valiant efforts of those who work tirelessly to combat it.

Tim personally requested that only Jim Caviezel portray him. Caviezel said that he considers Sound of Freedom the second most important film he has ever appeared in, ranking it behind his starring role as Jesus Christ in The Passion of the Christ (2004). The film was executive produced by Mel Gibson, and Tony Robbins. The film released on July 4th, 2023, by Angel Studios. It was a sleeper hit, becoming one of the most successful independent films in history. It has grossed $250 million against a $14.5 million budget, beating Mission Impossible and Transformer films in week one of its theatrical release in theaters.
