Serenity Cinema Presents: JESUS REVOLUTION
In the 1970s, Greg Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets a charismatic street preacher (Jonathan Roumie playing Lonnie Frisbee) and a pastor (Kelsey Grammar playing Pastor Chuck Smith) who open the doors to a church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds is a counterculture movement that becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history. Based on a true story, the film urges us to love people as Jesus loves them. It encourages us to carry the Gospel to those who look and act different. It reminds us that the Good News can unify our broken, stone-casting culture—but only if we follow Christ’s example.
