Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation CPR
Automatic External Defibrillator AED Training
Dickinson Avenue Elementary School
120 Dickinson Avenue Northport
Fee: $10

These classes are sponsored by the Louis Acompora Foundation. Louis was a 14 year old Northport lacrosse player who suffered fatal cardiac arrest during a game in 2000. As a result, his family lobbied for Louis’ Law, which raises community awareness to ensure AEDs (Automatic External Defibrillators) be available in schools, public institutions, and youth athletic organizations. To learn more about the Foundation’s efforts, visit the website at https://la12.org/about-us/about-the-foundation/

Training is being offered for laypeople, youth, and adult volunteers. It is not a healthcare provider or occupation certification class, which is more extensive. Rather than find a date convenient for everyone, parishioners wishing to take the training are encouraged to choose a time/date that works with their personal schedule from these community training events below.

All attendees must register in advance. Registration includes the class, an instructional manual, and an American Heart Association Heartsaver course completion card.

Upcoming Training. All classes are 3-hour training sessions:

Memorial Foundation.
