KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS First Holy Communion Support

Jan 7, 2024 | Community

The Knights of Columbus St. Joseph Council 4810 will be collecting new or gently used First Communion outfits for students in our area who are in need of new clothing for their big day this spring.

Even parts of an outfit (a jacket, a veil, a headband, shoes) can be donated. Any child’s size will be useful and gratefully accepted.

If you wish to donate an outfit or items, members of the Knights of Columbus will be at the 4:30pm Mass on Saturday, February 3, and at the 8:00am, 10:00am and 12noon Masses on Sunday, February 4 to accept any donations you wish to drop off.

Items can also be dropped off at the Religious Ed office the week of February 5 – 8, during class hours, Mon February 5 through Thursday, February 8 from 1:00pm to 5:30pm. The office is also open late on Tuesday, February 6 from 7:00 to 8:00pm. If these days/times are not convenient, please contact the Rectory to make alternate arrangements.

Your child’s outfit made their day special when they received their First Communion, and their celebration of the Eucharist is with them for life. Please consider donating your outfits to make another child’s day memorable.

For families who wish to pick up items for their students, please come to the Religious Ed office the week after the mid-winter recess. You are welcome any day from Monday through Thursday, February 26 – 29, when the office is open on the days and times indicated above.
