Celebrating 50 Years of Marriage
After a two year pause due to the pandemic, 169 couples were honored and received special blessings at three Golden Wedding Anniversary Masses, conducted in May and sponsored by The Diocese of Rockville Centre. The Masses honored couples who are celebrating 50 years of marriage. Each couple renewed their wedding vows during the Mass and received a certificate marking the occasion.
The special Masses were held on Sunday, May 1 at the Church of Christ the King in Commack and celebrated by Bishop Richard Henning, auxiliary bishop, Diocese of Rockville Centre; May 15 at the Church of Saint Rosalie, Hampton Bays and celebrated by Bishop John Barres, Bishop, Diocese of Rockville Centre, and May 22, 2022 at the Church of Saint James, Seaford and celebrated by Bishop Luis Romero, auxiliary bishop, Diocese of Rockville Centre.
