The True Meaning of Easter
Remember when we were kids, we celebrate by having Easter eggs hunts, dying Easter eggs, coloring Easter egg pictures and having a big family meals of ham, sweet potatoes and stuff! And, please don’t forget about the Easter Bunny Chocolate!
As we get older, we forget the true meaning of this holiday – which is when Jesus Christ is risen from the dead and we proclaim that by saying Alleluia a lot of times!
Easter is also a time of reflection! A time to ask Him to renew our hope, not despair; faith, not injustice, togetherness, not isolation; and, most of all, His love, not hatred!
My friends, we’ve been through a lot this year, but we’ve made it through with the help of God! All things are possible with Him and we must remember that!
Love,
Joey Dorr

Being a Catechist at St. Francis
This is the time of year when so many of us take to our gardens. Working in our precious space, whether large or small, is a source of peace, pride, and a reminder of God’s hand in creation.
Teachers are Needed in Religious Education!
Do you have a desire to bring God’s teachings to young students? Then think about being a catechist! You don’t have to be a scholar – the Holy Spirit will guide your heart!
