Starfish Coffee House Takes Time Out for a Women’s Retreat

Starfish Coffee House hosted its first Women’s Retreat this month, and it will not be the last! The event was held in partnership with the GIVEN Institute which is a non-profit organization that helps young women develop leadership skills under Catholic values. 

The retreat began with reflections on Our Lady of Guadalupe and the stars on her mantle, each of which has its own individual meaning. The group continued with reflecting on the gifts of the Holy Spirit, as each member thought over their own personal gifts that God has given them. The day continued with a fun activity in decorating ornaments for the Coffee House’s upcoming Christmas Party, and concluded with Adoration in the Church. The Starfish Coffee House ministry is taking a breather for January, and meetings and events will start up again in February.
