For Fr. Peter Weekend Celebration

There will be special Hospitality arrangements after all Masses for the weekend of October 5-6, 2024 to celebrate Fr. Peter’s Birthday, and to wish him well as he takes his leave of St. Francis parish. Tentative arrangements are as follows: 

Saturday, October 5: After the 4:30pm Mass, there will be finger food – wraps and sandwiches, trays of cookies and beverages for Hospitality. Fr. Peter will be present to see everyone after Mass in the lower church. 

Sunday, October 6: After the 8:00am Mass and again after the 10:00am Mass, there will be sandwiches and wraps, condiments, trays of cookies and beverages for Hospitality. Fr. Peter will be present after each Mass to greet well-wishers. 

Sunday, October 6: After the 12noon Mass, beginning at 1:00pm, there will be trays of hot food, mixed vegetables, macaroni & cheese, a Birthday sheet cake and biscotti to celebrate. Fr. Peter will be there to greet well-wishers. 

Sunday, October 6 at 3:00pm – Blessing of the Animals in front of the church to celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Parishioners who attend the noon Mass will have enough time after Hospitality to return home to get their pets for the blessing. Parishioners planning on attending the 5:00pm Mass will have enough time before Mass to bring their pets to be blessed return them home in time to attend Mass. 

Sunday, October 6: After the 5:00pm Mass, there will be sandwiches and pizza, cookies and beverages for Hospitality. Fr. Peter will again be present to greet well-wishers. 

All Hospitality gatherings will be held in the lower church. 

Please come to wish Fr. Peter well, and to thank him for his years of service and pastoral care for our parish!
